I really wanted to put "Tractor" as the numberplate, but I fear that non-die hard Lambo fans might not get it and start whining like little kids

I think you should absolutely make tractor the license plate. It's your art, if they don't like it, run 'em over with a tractor.

Do you use PS or illustrator. I used to use PS but I like illustrator better for the vector data.

I don't know why, but I've never properly touched Adobe products :/

All I use is Inkscape for vectors with a bit of GIMP for some touch up

I've made a "tractor" version of it in green, on an asphalt background. A little less jarring for the eyes on my HDTV!
